Just hours before the premiere of Outlander season 3 on Starz, local fans will have the opportunity to hear from the author who is responsible for the Outlander phenomenon. The fabulous Diana Gabaldon is coming to Winston-Salem!
The Winston-Salem Journal reports that Diana will serve as the keynote speaker at the 13th annual Festival of Books and Authors at 5 p.m. Sept. 10. She’ll speak at the R.J. Reynolds Auditorium.
Will Diana visit Old Salem while she’s nearby? (In Jamie and Claire Fraser’s time, it was known simply as Salem. It wasn’t exactly old then.) And what are her Outlander premiere plans? Diana, you’re welcome to join me for a dram of whiskey!
Tickets are required. Get yours ASAP because they’re going fast, I’m told. The cost is $16 for general admission or $28 for admission and a signed copy of Diana’s Seven Stones to Stand or Fall: A Collection of Outlander Fiction. (Premier seating is already sold out.) Click here to reserve your tickets today!
The festival is the largest annual book festival in the Carolinas and is hosted by Bookmarks, a nonprofit based in Winston-Salem that fosters a love of reading and writing in the community.
